Standard Fare at Spokane Civic Theatre? Never!

So you think Spokane Civic Theatre’s version of A Christmas Carol is going to be standard fare? Really? Say it isn’t so. Standard Fare at Spokane Civic Theatre? Never!

Even though A Christmas Carol isn’t a musical, it contains plenty of musical numbers. You can look forward to a quartet accompanied by a fiddler as well as numerous carols sung by the cast. The narrator, towering puppets, and gorgeous set are also sure to please.

Troy Nickerson’s award-winning direction as well as the script, which was written for and performed at Guthrie Theatre, brings new life to this classic tale. The huge cast (more than forty) includes many family members as well as award-winning actors.

Come see Scrooge and the ghosts of past, present, and future from November 18th to December 18th!

Spokane Civic Theatre’s Ghosts! Created by Patrick Treadway & costumed by Cheryl Martin, the ghosts starring in A Christmas Carol, are all puppets. But not just any puppets; Past is just over 5’ tall, Present is over 10’ tall, and Future is almost 12’ tall! Peter Hardy, Spokane Civic Theatre’s Technical Director, has created an amazing set to go with these amazing puppets. Opening Friday, A Christmas Carol, directed by Troy Nickerson, will be a pure eye candy by the looks of it.

If you haven’t purchased tickets, no fear! Call the Spokane Civic Theatre Box Office at 509.325.2507 or order online: http://ticketswest.rdln.com/Artist.aspx?evt=82154.
